The Canadian Na- ‘tional Park, comprising a large extent of territory with many at- tractions is situated here. The Canadian Pacific Railway Co. have erected @ handsome and com- modious ‘hotel here, at an ex- pense of over two hundred thou- sand dollars, so that visitors to the National park ean have ac- commodation equal to any in the Dominion, The Sanitarium, an other good-sized hotel, furnishes ample accommodation for the In- valid and sick; special care has been exercised in the bath depart- ment, so all forms of baths can be taken. Here also is a neat and commodions private hospital erected and presided over by Dr. Brett. Dhere are aiso a couple of attractive lakes, only a mile or so distant, reached by a small ereck, and are frequently visited by boat- ing parties. Lake Minnewauka, or Devil's Lake, 9 miles from the ‘town, is furnished with steam launches, and affords most delight- ful boating and fishing.
